postmodern visual analysis

     At first glance, the viewer's eye is either drawn to the paper boat or the large, red sun. This mixed media piece is composed into a golden triangle between the paper boat, the sun, and the photoshopped portion to the right of the piece. The small clouds and dots guide the viewer's eye path. The color scheme is compound due to the use of red, orange, yellow, blues, and pinks. The photoshopped portion is packed together on one side of the piece, but small photoshopped details are dispersed throughout the piece.

     The colors create a calm environment outside of the chaotic scene of the photoshopped piece. The paper boat is an escape from the representation of artificial intelligence. The photoshop on one side of the page represents the feeling of being stuck in the digital world. The small, pixelated clouds and the hand next to the sun show that people are so immersed into the digital world that it begins to find its way into how people view nature. Artificial intelligence is evolving so much so that it has become a part of our everyday lives, which is why it is difficult to find time to take ourselves out of the digital world.
